چکیده
The author presents the problems related to pulse oximetry, taking into account both current state-of-the-art as well her own long-standing experience in this field. COVID-19 pandemic continues and has raised interest home application of oximeters due their potential benefit, which may be warning a drop blood oxygenation lower respiratory capacity. However, it should emphasized that these devices have limitations, physiological technical nature, some reliability scope measurements still remain unresolved. Phenomena limit processing quantity sensed, i.e., oxygen saturation SaO2%, are presented. Specific groups affecting factors distinguished an approach contribution measurement uncertainty components.
